Responsibilities:

  • Provide specially designed instruction (SDI) services to eligible children within the Head Start classroom program.
  • Participate in the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Offer consultation to classroom staff and families regarding the needs of children receiving special education services.
  • Complete required documentation related to student progress and services provided.

Requirements:

  • Maine Educator certification is required, with PK 282 certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience or training in providing special education services to young children is likely beneficial.
