Position Summary
Southern Land Company, a national real estate development and construction firm, is seeking a full-time Make-Ready Technician to join our dynamic team in Nashville, Tennessee.
Vertis Green Hills is offering an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about providing world class customer service. The successful candidate must be reliable and always present a positive and professional image.
Vertis Green Hills is an amenity-filled, Class A , luxury, high rise, rental property located in Nashville, TN. The unique asset is an 18-story property and includes 310 apartment units with a mixed-use retail component.
Primary Responsibilities
- Inspect vacated apartments and complete checklists regarding make-ready
- Replace or repair windows, latches, screens, hinges, sliding glass doors, shelves, baseboards, mirrors, closets, curtains, mini-blinds, ceiling fans, lights, etc.
- Check faucets, sink plugs, and repair/replace as needed.
- Replace washers when needed.
- Perform exterior repairs to sinks, bathtubs, etc. when warranted
- Painting and drywall repair
- Make new keys when requested. Replace vacancy lock (if applicable) on day lock is changed for new resident move-in
- Share cleaning and grounds-keeping duties with all service staff
- Availability for on-call rotation evenings and weekends
Skills/Knowledge/Experience
- Ability to keep sensitive information highly confidential
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal professionally with clients, vendors, and co-workers on the phone and in person.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to take initiative, use good judgment, demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail, and carry multiple projects through to completion.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work and ask for further clarification when necessary.
- Ability to work under pressure with tight time constraints, as well as the ability to deal with frequent interruptions, unresolved situations, frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED from accredited school)
- 2 years practical experience
- Fair Housing training
