Project Cost Coordinator
Job Posting for Project Cost Coordinator at Southern Power Systems
Southern Power Systems has an immediate opening available for a Project Cost Coordinator to work with our Project Management Team.
The ideal candidate will have project cost control experience, preferably in an industrial or utility environment, but not required. The candidate must be capable of independently performing assigned functions which include project setup, client invoicing, project cost and revenue analysis, and support to management. Must have strong attention to detail and analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- 5 + years of project controls experience, preferred
- Previous project cost accounting experience preferred
- Degree preferred, or equivalent years of experience
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Prepare and issue client invoices in accordance with quote, contract terms, listing items sold and services performed, amounts due, credit terms, and dates of performance.
- Project initiation, maintenance, and closeout in accounting system.
- Prepare rate recalculations and cost data analyses.
- Prepare project cost, revenue, unbilled/unearned reconciliations and analyses.
- Provide ad-hoc reports for internal and external customers as requested.
- Responsible for maintenance of all project records for assigned projects.
- Provide project support to management, including reports and account analyses.
- Complete special projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Manage rate schedules.
- Approve time and expenses as needed.
- Assess current processes, devise and implement plan to continuously improve.
- Track status of material orders to ensure delivery dates are met.
