About Us:

Southern Technical College (STC) is actively seeking a highly qualified Director of Corporate Development and Training to develop corporate partnerships and training programs tailored to the unique needs of our schools and local communities. STC was founded to combine traditional and innovative teaching techniques in the areas of allied health, nursing, surgical technician and technical trades including welding, HVAC and electrical technician. Delivered in a dynamic and professional environment, the curricula are designed to deliver intensive, hands-on training in core technical areas in combination with communication skills, interpersonal skills, and a broad-based general education. STC’s mission is to provide an education that will prepare students to pursue successful careers and lead enriched lives. Based on current market demands, we seek to provide the most relevant knowledge to our students to ensure our technology, curriculum and faculty are in-touch with today’s and tomorrow’s industry needs. STC graduates are in high demand due to the shortage of skilled workers in the areas in which we provide instruction.

We seek to expand our training directly to industry partners to help them fulfill their hiring and personnel needs. The chosen candidate will lead this effort on a regional basis.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses, industries, and communities to increase enrollments in our programs, secure scholarship and sponsorship opportunities for our students, and support or achieve 90/10 compliance by finding cash-pay students from industry partnerships to support student education and expand the presence of STC within the community.
  • Seek out and establish corporate partnerships to support our existing programs and develop new programs in conjunction with industry partners and demand.
  • Collaborating with alumni to identify and create new potential opportunities.
  • Manage and update an employer database or spreadsheet.
  • Generate and present regular reports on industry partner and employer engagement, internships, and student placements.
  • Work collaboratively with Campus Presidents and Directors to enhance college offerings and opportunities.
  • Reports directly to the STC President.

Qualifications:

· Demonstrated ability to recruit and develop partnerships.

· Experience in the education industry is desired, but not required.

2. Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

3. Professionalism, attention to detail, and strong communication and collaboration skills.
