Reporting directly to managers, the welder will help set up and assist the ongoing factory operations.
- Hours : 6am 2 : 30pm (MON-FRI)
- 30-minute lunch (unpaid) & 15-minute break (paid)
Duties and Responsibilities
Level I : Hourly Rate of $24.00 - $26.00
- Ensuring high safety measures while working such as donning protective gear for the face and body
- Regularly and consistently demonstrate skill in the areas of MIG, Flux and TIG welding.
- Welding various metals together.
- Fit, tack and weld.
- Being aware of the different methods of welding
- Examining the equipment after welding and advising maintenance of defects
- Planning and set up of welding operations before beginning.
- Must know weld symbols.
- Laying out, cutting, fitting, measuring, and welding metals to create the desired shape or object.
- Demonstrate teamwork by working well with others and responding positively to constructive feedback.
IMPORTANT : Level I Welder must be able to complete and successfully pass the (2) welding tests below within 2-days from start date.
Hardwire / Carbon steel :
- Vertical and overhead
- Types : Tee Joint, Flare Bevel weld, and Butt joint weld
Flux Core / Carbon steel :
- 3 / 8" Carbon Steel Plate Coupon Set
- 45-degree bend with backing plate
Upon completing and successfully passing the 3rd weld test below, advancement to Level II will be made. There are no time constraints in place for passing this test.
Flux Core / Stainless Steel
- 3 / 8" Carbon Steel Plate Coupon Set
- 45-degree bend with backing plate
Level II : Hourly Rate of $26.00 - $30.00
- Must be certified welder in Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel and MIG (minimum of two required)
- Fit, tack and weld fabrications to complete.
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering plan, use the blueprints along with other data, such as work plans, to fabricate their welding projects.
- Create cut list from blueprints.

Qualifications / Experience / Skills and Attributes
- Previous welding and fabricating experience.
- At least two-three years of warehouse / Shop experience
- Able to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with all customers, team members and management.
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Ability to take initiative and prioritize.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to walk and move around on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and move objects of 50lbs or more as required.
- Must pass Company’s welding certification.
Working Conditions / Schedule
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a warehouse setting. Work environment will change often and will require consistent awareness to surroundings and potential dangers to themselves and others.
Physical Requirements : The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. with assistance from others or lifting devices from floor to waist and waist to floor.
- Ability to walk, hear, see in order to reasonably perform essential job functions.
- Must have agility and a good sense of balance, willing to work in high places.
