SUMMARY:
The IT Technician is responsible for work in the areas of installation, operation and maintenance of information technology hardware and software, and/or the provision of technical assistance in support of information technology hardware and software. The successful candidate will be working with the IT team to provide technical support to employees and will focus on providing Tier I and II technical support of a Windows based network. To be successful, the candidate should be well-versed in all aspects of computer systems configuration, set up, and maintenance. Any experience with Data Security and Cybersecurity is a plus. The position will require the candidate to be mobile, the individual will share duties between multiple facilities located in close proximity to each other.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Receive calls for assistance, document problems and provide centralized help desk support for all on-site and remote users.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems or refer requests to the next level of service.
Set up, install, and maintain PCs printers, copiers, VoIP devices, network devices, telephones, servers and associated peripheral hardware, which includes some lifting and moving of hardware.
Troubleshoot wired and wireless network connectivity issues and video conferencing equipment.
Maintain IT equipment and software inventory.
Assist in the creation of troubleshooting documentation.
Provide informal training for end users.
Perform work independently using initiative and judgment to resolve user problems.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Excellent writing, speaking and organizational skills.
Two years’ experience providing computer support services.
Ability to be a team player is essential.
Good problem solving and analytical skills.
Strong working knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software.
Knowledge of Windows Operating systems (Windows 10, 11, Server 2016, 2019, 2022), Microsoft Active Directory Administration, Outlook, Apple iOS, Mac experience preferred (but not required), Microsoft Office 365 applications, SharePoint experience preferred (but not required), understanding of network infrastructure protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), PC and laptop hardware.
Understanding of basic security techniques and safeguarding data.
Must have a valid Driver’s License
Education and/or Experience:
Associate Degree in IT-related field or equivalent technical experience.
