About the Optical Leader role:
- Perform optical duties as assigned including but not limited to frame board management, frame selections, ophthalmic lens ordering, frame ordering, glasses adjustments, dispensing glasses, dispensing contacts, repairing glasses, verifying glasses and frame orders, and notifying patients when product is available.
- Meet with frame vendors to maintain frame inventory and ensure product is being rotated out. Reorder frames on a weekly basis to replenish product sold. Conduct frame inventory on quarterly basis and abide to Frame Board Management Plan.
- Order optical tools and supplies as need.
- Complete monthly optical clinic schedule while being efficient for staffing costs. Approval of time cards, overtime, and corrections of time clock punches.
- Administer minor accounts receivable functions including billing for product and services, entering payments from patients, reconciling daily monies receive.
- Administer minor accounts payable duties including but not limited to reconciling monthly statements with invoices, tracking of pending credits, verifying frame orders received match frame rep written order.
- Create and maintain an efficient, cohesive clinic flow. Ensure cleanliness and organization of clinic.
- Responsible for consistently following company-wide processes and operations to maintain brand consistency.
- Perform and document quarterly one-on-one meetings with employees.
- Administer contact lens responsibilities including patient contact lens orders, verifying contact lens orders, and ordering contact lens trials.
- Compose, schedule, and deliver 90-day and annual employee reviews.
- Conduct interviews and filter candidates for open positions.
- Coordinate clinic events and community events with marketing team.
- Represent and communicate Southwest Eye Care’s mission, vision, and core values to patients and
- Follow and enforce protocols to ensure risk management and safety.
- Build and foster an engaged, effective team through ongoing training and development.
- Create an inclusive workplace culture by treating all employees and patients with respect.
- Attend weekly company leadership trainings, including our annual Leader Retreat.
- Travel to other offices as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

You meet these requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Three years related optical experience or customer service experience preferred
- ABO, NCLE, CPO, CPOA, COA certifications preferred
