What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mortgage Licensing Specialist position at Southwest Funding, LP?
This position is responsible for obtaining and maintaining the company, branch and individual MLO license for each state. This will also include monitoring bonds and registered agents inside the NMLS system.

Licensing – file licensing documents such as applications and renewals.
- Review and process all income licensing applications in a timely manner
- Research and verify applicant information to ensure compliance with state regulations
- Maintain accurate records of all issued licenses
- Prepare reports on licensing activity as requested
- Solve actions items within NMLS system related to all licensing deficiencies
- Reviewing applications for new licenses and monitoring existing licenses to ensure that requirements are being met
- Facilitate payment of necessary licensing fees
- Manage Director/Officer changes, including fingerprinting and attestations
Annual requirement and training requirements for MLO
- Monitor licensees for compliance with continuing education requirements and other conditions of licensure
- Monitor and assist with company annual training requirement and exams
- Update internal reporting and track issues
Compliance Responsibilities
- Complete company HMDA reporting
- Assist with Notice of Action issuance
- Assist with social media monitoring
- Any projects designated by management
