Job Summary:
The Provider Engagement and TA Specialist works directly with behavioral health providers and other potential partners to engage and connect them with technical assistance (TA), clinical case consultation, and other services offered via the SAMHSA grant project which focuses on bolstering behavioral health support for Refugees and Migrants (R/M). Creates a strategy and marketing plan that uses data to get service providers interested in the program, which must be updated throughout the period of performance. Provides targeted TA and coaching for organizations that serve R/M people.
Essential Functions:
- Clinical and Provider Engagement Strategy: Design and deploy engagement strategies for behavioral health providers, clinics, and CBOs that serve R/M.
- Provider Enrollment and Onboarding: Oversee the electronic process of provider enrollment, intake, consent, and initial Ensure that providers are oriented and equipped to access available resources developed as part of the grant.
- Collaborative Work: Collaborate closely with the TA team of clinicians and other key staff to ensure providers receive relevant technical assistance and other resources.
- TA Pipeline Creation: Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of providers interested in engagement and TA, clinical case consultation, and more
- Follow-up and Engagement: Systematically track provider interactions, ensuring timely follow-up and sustained engagement. Respond to inquiries and feedback promptly.
- Community Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between various stakeholders within the Refugee and Migrant service ecosystem, especially behavioral health
- Continuous Learning and Adaptation: Regularly gather insights from the field, updating engagement strategies to meet evolving needs and challenges.
- SAMHSA Compliance and Reporting: Stay abreast of SAMHSA's guidelines, ensuring the team's adherence and providing regular compliance updates.

- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining professional relationships with a range of stakeholders, especially in the behavioral health sector.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master’s in Public Health, Social Work, Counseling, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in community outreach or engagement, ideally in the behavioral health or non-profit domain.
- This position requires the individual to be trained in programs, practices, and policies that are recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and equity-based to improve behavioral health.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas. While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of workstation and other office equipment. Frequent typing, writing, bending, and twisting. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
Work Environment:
General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer uses at workstation for extended periods of time. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel.
