Who We Are:
The Tactical Aerospace Department (TAD) provides aerospace related research, development, production, test and/or support to new products, sustainment, and modernization programs for the DoD industry, Allies, and U.S. Government.
Objectives of this Role:
- Support troubleshooting and repair of A-10 aircraft as initiated by submitted field support requests for related avionics and engine systems (will require travel.)
- Provide ability to perform and/or assist in Time Compliance Technical Order validation/verification efforts.
- Provide engineering and technical assistance for complex Depot and Field level technical issues.
- Support Department management in specific marketing activities and proposal development of embedded avionics programs.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
- Position is on-site at Hill AFB with travel as required to other AFB’s to support aircraft.
- Answer telephone, e-mail, and in-person support requests.
- Work and coordinate with maintainers to troubleshoot aircraft wiring, and aircraft components.
- Interact directly with clients and company staff to establish system requirements and architectures to meet client expectations.
- Work collaboratively across a multi-disciplinary engineering teams to establish hardware and firmware requirements for complex flight worthy avionics hardware.
Requirements:
- Requires a Bachelors degree in Avionics Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related technology degree field, or equivalent combination of continued education/certifications plus related work experience.
- 10 years: Experience testing or maintenance experience, preferably on military aircrafts or systems.
- Fabrication, assembly, documentation, maintenance or troubleshooting electronics systems.
- Demonstrated capability to communicate clearly – verbally, textually and graphically – to technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.

- Defense and & Intelligence Solutions-Providing advanced direction finding and tracking systems through geolocation system development.
- Fuels and Lubricants Research-Performing fuels and lubricants research activities to meet regulatory and competitive goals.
- Intelligent Systems-Providing engineering services in resaerch and development of complex systems and equipment.
- Mechanical Engineering-Improving safety, reliability, efficiency and life of new or existing mechanical components or systems.
- Powertrain Engineering-Designing and developing vehicle and engine components to achieve performance and emissions goals.
- Space Science & Engineering-Developing and managing advanced scientific payloads aboard satellites and sounding rockets.
