Who We Are:

SwRI-EOS (Durham, NH) provides support of flight hardware programs (both orbital and suborbital), including the development of new instrumentation and the development and fabrication of custom-designed avionics. Science investigations include topics in heliophysics and high-energy astrophysics.

Objectives of this Role:
  • Perform analysis of data from the Magnetospheric Multiscale mission.
  • Publish first-authored journal articles on findings from MMS data analysis.
  • Assist with MMS-focused research led by SwRI-EOS team members, leading to and assisting with the publication of co-authored publications.
  • Prepare and present research findings at conferences.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
  • Perform analysis of data from the Magnetospheric Multiscale mission.
  • Publish first-authored journal articles on findings from MMS data analysis (=1 per year).
  • Assist with MMS-focused research led by SwRI-EOS team members, leading to and assisting with the publication of co-authored publications (=1 per year).
  • Prepare and present research findings at conferences (several per year).
Requirements:
  • Requires an PhD in Physics
  • 0 years: Must be proficient in IDL, MatLab, Python
  • Published articles on magnetospheric or affiliated space physics topics
  • PhD thesis on magnetospheric or affiliated space physics topics
  • A valid/clear driver's license is required
Special Requirements:

Work assignment is in Durham, New Hampshire. This is a ____ year limited term assignment.
