Our veterinary clinic is looking for a new member to join our team as a Veterinary Technician. A Veterinary Technician will be responsible for obtaining patient histories, discussing concerns with client(s), obtaining samples from patients (as needed), drawing up vaccines, submitted labs to the appropriate laboratory, aiding the veterinarian with the exam and vaccinations/injections, and dismissing the client
and answering any further questions they may have. This position will also require a technician who is comfortable in surgery, aiding the doctor in prepping the patient for surgery, monitoring throughout the procedure, and discharging the patient at the end of their stay. The position requires an individual who can work independently, but is also comfortable working as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Answer questions or concerns of pet owners and walk them through their pet's examination/services provided.
• Aiding in daily exams, testing, obtaining samples, and restraining patient for exam/treatments.
• Aiding veterinarian in surgeries - pre-surgical prep, monitoring during surgery, and discharging the patient after their stay
• Enter data into the office computer system.
• Aid in keeping the clinic clean (kennels, exam rooms, bathrooms, ect).

Requirements:

• 2 Year (minimum) of veterinary technician experience required
• Basic veterinary technician skills required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
