The Work You'll Do:

Experienced in 1099 & ACA Managed Services, the Team Lead demonstrates expertise in their field and is passionate about mentoring and developing up-and-coming Compliance Services employees. The Team Lead role is a blend of senior-level technical skills combined with the opportunity to lead a group of managed services team members while contributing to operational excellence. The Compliance Services Team lead is responsible for delivering tax compliance services to large and complex clients, and monitoring Compliance Services employees participation in training and day-to-day tasks. The Team Lead will oversee task management and quality control related to Compliance Services clients to ensure the day-to-day operations run smoothly.

More specifically you will:

• Delivers tax compliance services to large / complex accounts; acting as point of escalation as needed
• Driving completion timelines and monitoring progress to keep Compliance Services employees tasks on schedule
• Communicate clear direction and instruction to team members to foster growth and development
• Will serve as one of the first points of contact for Compliance Services Individual Contributors; manage the flow of day-to-day tasks and questions; helping to build the subject matter expertise of other Compliance Services employees
• Collaborate with other Team Leads to perform month end Quality Assurance to ensure that all monthly activities have been completed
• Collaborate with other Team Leads to handle operational processes specific to their field, e.g. determining client assignments, reconciliations, metric reports
• Collaborates and communicates with Leadership team to share performance feedback, though the Team Lead does not own performance management or talent review
• Dedicated lead on all high-end accounts using Sovos Proprietary Software; acting as communications liaison as needed for other accounts
• Identify, prioritize, and resolve client issues and/or escalations by coordinating with the appropriate parties, including clients and/or other internal departments to address root cause issues
• Develop and/or maintain documentation and training materials, lead training sessions as needed
• Ensure compliance with applicable taxing authorities (State and Local Governments) and client-specified procedures by adhering to internal policies and procedures
• Identify and lead process improvement and/or standardization opportunities; offers suggestions to build internal efficiencies and reduce risk
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

• Expertise in 1099 and ACA process and solutions
• Excellent time management, decision making, and organizational skills
• Detail oriented and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills
• Due to client contractual obligations– the successful candidate will have to clear a background check and drug test
