SPAARK, Inc is seeking a Senior Telecommunications/Audio-Visual (A/V) Engineer who shall provide Audio Visual, Information Technology networking and Communications Support Services in support of the U.S. Department of State (DOS). The successful candidate will have expert technical knowledge of Audio-Visual design, integration, installation, implementation, programming, testing and maintenance of systems, and a solid background in IT networking and telecommunications capabilities.
- Support the design, integration, installation, implementation, programming, testing and maintenance of IT/Data Networks/LANS; wired, optical, and wireless.
- Set up Secure Video Teleconferencing System (SVTS) at multiple classification levels.
- Support virtual meetings and events by setting up and providing on-site support for video calls, web conferencing, video calling, and streaming.
- Provide assistance with various audio-visual services consisting of TV, Cable Television (CATV), Public Address, Digital signage, video surveillance, including supporting the cabling, installation, operation, and maintenance.
- Assist with design and evaluation of pre-staged IT networking and communications equipment and vital records at classified alternate work locations.
- Assist with inventory and disposal of excess equipment and files in accordance with final disposition instructions.
- Assist with facility engineering and maintenance of Audio Visual support systems.
Qualifications
- Secret Clearance required with ability to upgrade to Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
- Experience with designing, integration, and configuration of AV systems using Crestron control systems.
- In-depth experience with Crestron, AMX and Extron and various programming languages, including C , Java, VB.NET and SQL.
- Familiar with basic Crestron suite of programs, AV framework, Crestron toolbox, and different networking protocols.
- Familiar with NetLinx Studio, TP Design and other AMX programming software.
- Expertise in testing, troubleshooting, and installing Crestron, AMX and Extron systems at client side as well as effectively explain system operation and related concepts to non-technical users.
- Adept in maintaining code and saving them to client repositories.
- Well-versed in programming all varieties of audio DSP systems, including QSC, Biamp and ClearOne.
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Experience with IT Networks/LANs; wired, optical, and wireless.
- Secure Video Teleconferencing System (SVTS) at multiple classification levels.
- Audio visual experience consisting of TV, Cable Television (CATV), Public Address, Digital Signage and Video Surveillance, including the supporting cabling, installation, operation, and maintenance.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the following areas in addition to the required skills above. Candidates without this experience will be expected to become proficient in the operation and maintenance of the following:
- Secure and non-secure telephone and facsimile to include systems, services, engineering operations facility and security support, operations, and maintenance.
- High Frequency Automatic Link Establishment (HF ALE) Radio systems, both secure and non-secure, Interagency (IA) and Department and Agency Communications Network (DACN) nets.
- Secure and non-secure point-to-point UHF/VHF radio systems to include UHF SATCOM systems, both conventional and DAMA.
- Secure Satellite Telephone, both fixed and mobile.
- Secure Cellular Telephone, both fixed and mobile.
- Government Emergency Telecommunications Service (GETS).
- Wireless Priority Service (WPS).
- Telecommunications Service Priority (TSP) parameters.
- COMSEC equipment supporting all the listed systems.
