The Space Dynamics Lab (SDL) is seeking a practiced accountant with strong customer service skills to work closely with our other accountants and perform a variety of accounting functions.
Duties include:
• Creating and submitting invoices and tracking to insure timely payment
• Perform duties in, or providing backup for fixed assets, budgets, service center charges, cash reconciliations, payroll and other duties as assigned
• Data entry as needed for journal entries and accounts payable
• Providing support for audits
Required Qualifications:
• BS in accounting
• 1 years accounting experience
• Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and basic accounting skills
• Intermediate skills with computer and Microsoft products including Excel and Word
• Experience with accounting software – Prior experience with Banner helpful
• Ability to learn US Government online billing systems
• Must be a US citizen or lawful permanent resident
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in a non-profit, government, or university setting
• Able to communicate effectively and professionally
• Able to prioritize and make accurate and timely decisions
