Position Description:
Voyager Space Technology (formerly Space Micro) is looking for a radiation effects subject matter expert to support electronics and opto-electronics products and new designs across the Voyager enterprise.

Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and document radiation hardness requirements for space systems. Develop technical documents for requirements and verification.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to support radiation testing, hardness assurance and error rate prediction for space systems.
  • Build, lead and maintain multi-disciplinary teams to execute radiation test campaigns.
  • Participate in internal and customer design reviews.

Requirements:
  • BS in Physics or electrical engineering with 4 years or more of relevant experience, MS or Ph.D. with relevant research or work experience.
  • Solid understanding of radiation effects on electronic and optoelectronic parts.
  • Direct working knowledge or demonstrated capacity to perform radiation effects testing of electronic parts.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment
  • Experience with satellite industry highly desirable


Salary Range: $165,000 – $190,000/year


To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
