Position Description:
Voyager Space Technology (formerly Space Micro) is looking for a radiation effects subject matter expert to support electronics and opto-electronics products and new designs across the Voyager enterprise.
Responsibilities:

Formulate and document radiation hardness requirements for space systems. Develop technical documents for requirements and verification.

Provide subject matter expertise to support radiation testing, hardness assurance and error rate prediction for space systems.

Build, lead and maintain multi-disciplinary teams to execute radiation test campaigns.

Participate in internal and customer design reviews.
Requirements:

BS in Physics or electrical engineering with 4 years or more of relevant experience, MS or Ph.D. with relevant research or work experience.

Solid understanding of radiation effects on electronic and optoelectronic parts.

Direct working knowledge or demonstrated capacity to perform radiation effects testing of electronic parts.

Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment

Experience with satellite industry highly desirable
Salary Range: $165,000 – $190,000/year
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
