AV SERVICES TECHNICIAN
SpaceX is looking for an AV Support Technician to provide world-class support to for conferences and events across all of SpaceX. Working with our AV Admins you will learn to best utilize AV equipment and systems to support the ever-growing network of conference rooms and event spaces.
This position will also be responsible for on-going support of everyday tickets from break fix, maintenance, and general care for all of SpaceX AV hardware and systems, as well as helping support live events, meetings that are fully onsite, hybrid and fully remote. To be successful, this person must be motivated, organized, and results driven. This person must have great listening skills and is required to have oral and written communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports AV/VC solutions locally and globally to support in-region teams
- Supports events around the SpaceX office from an audio/visual standpoint, occasional out of hours event support
- Responds promptly to requests for technical support via email, ticketing, and chat as needed
- Responsible for troubleshooting hardware and applications, providing technical support and problem solving
- Exhibits a high level of professionalism and is passionate about providing outstanding customer service
- Documents status of issues and provides updates to management, team and end users
- Maintains standard operating procedures, best practices, and customer service guidelines
- Create documentation for AV troubleshooting & configuration for team members and end users
- Participates in on-boarding and training team members
- Drives quality and adherence to best practices within the team
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 years’ experience in AV support in a professional environment
- Professional experience in video conferencing solutions and support
- Professional experience with Mac and Windows OS
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Understand line drawings, signal flow, AV concepts
- Familiarity with one or more of the following: Logitech, Microsoft Teams, Biamp, Extron, QSC, Shure
- Strong customer service, problem solving and teamwork abilities
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Live audio and video production experience
- Microsoft Teams experience
- CTS, Crestron DM, or similar certification a plus
- Knowledge and ability to terminate various audio and data connections
- Knowledge of layer 1 network
- Cabling experience (pulling, terminating)
- Construction or mechanical background
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be physically fit enough to regularly lift up to 25 lbs
- Must be willing to travel to other SpaceX sites in support of program needs (up to 20%)
- Ability to pass Air Force background checks for Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range:
AV Services Technician/Level 1: $29.00 - $35.00/hour
AV Services Technician/Level 2: $34.00 - $40.00/hour
AV Services Technician/Level 3: $38.00 - $45.00/hour
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
