Spahn & Rose Lumber Co., the 2022 LBM Dealer of the Year, has an opening for an Office Assistant at our location in Waverly. This is a full time position and performs bookkeeping, secretarial and administrative work, data processing and record-keeping.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Address and solve client billing and account questions and issues in person and by phone.
- Work with customers and corporate office to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
- Receive and sort incoming documents from customers.
- Operates computers programmed with software (Bistrack) to record, store and analyze information.
- Manages receiving and return paperwork.
- Enters checks, posts payments and handles deposits.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience as an administrative assistant or bookkeeper in a fast paced environment.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking and follow up skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Must have a pleasant/professional personality and willingness to learn.
- Proficient PC skills using MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Basic knowledge of accounting practices.
