Position Summary
The Navigator- Imaging Services serves as core contact for Imaging Services patients, becoming involved upon identification of need for diagnostic imaging work up or biopsy.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- AS Degree in Radiology Technology or advanced certification in another modality
Experience
- Broad knowledge of Imaging concepts and services
License/Registration/Certifications
- ARRT (R)
- SCQRSA
Preferred Requirements
Preferred Education
- BS in Radiology Technology
Preferred Experience
- 5 years’ experience in imaging services
Preferred License/Registration/Certifications
- 2 or more ARRT modality registries
Core Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing and overseeing the care coordination provided to the patients, and is a liaison between the physician, professional health care staff and other involved parties.
- Collaborates with the Radiologists, referring Physicians and Imaging Services regarding the seamless transition for patient’s diagnosis to the need for additional imaging studies or follow up with referring physicians.
- May be assigned to cover additional shifts as required to meet departmental needs
