Lawn Care Technician

A full-time position is currently available for a Lawn Care Technician. All applicants must have a Category 7 Pesticide License and relevant experience. Category 6 tree/shrub care license is preferred as well.

Responsibilities

• Apply fertilizers ad pesticides to ensure healthy lawn growth.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat insects & diseases on trees and shrubs
• Effectively operate, calibrate, and maintain spray, fertilization, and injection equipment including experience with Permagreen Machine
• Perform required functions of the lawn care management program including: Administration, scheduling, inspections, sampling, treatments, inventories, equipment maintenance, record keeping, report writing, and customer relations
• Additional compensation via commission/bonus program can be earned with sales of new services/clients

Qualifications and Skills

• *Pa Category 7 and/or Category 6 pesticide license
• Valid drivers license with clean driving record
• Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Agronomy, Landscape Architecture, turf management or a related field, OR prior experience in the green industry is preferred.
• - Apply fertilizers and pesticides to promote healthy growth of lawns and plants
• - Perform snow plowing and ice removal during winter months- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work vehicles and equipmentQualifications:

• - Previous experience in lawn care, tree care, or landscaping preferred

• - Knowledge of proper horticultural practices for maintaining lawns and plants

• - Ability to operate and maintain various hand tools and equipment

• - Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues is a plus

• - Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
