Candidates will:
- have a passion for working with special needs children
- have a high school diploma
- be able to pass a criminal background check
- be able to meet deadlines and feel comfortable learning how to create quality medical notes.
Duties:
- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Implement behavioral therapy techniques and interventions
- Assist with data collection and documentation of progress
- Collaborate with a team of professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Support individuals in developing and maintaining daily living skills
- Provide guidance and support during community outings and activities
Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or special education background preferred
- Familiarity with behavioral therapy techniques and strategies
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus
- Ability to collect and record data accurately
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
