What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Person position at Special Citizens Futures Unlimited?
Salary: $22 per hour plus full time benefits!
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 10am-6pm
We are looking for a handy person with experience who can not only perform routine cleaning but can also perform tasks such as:
- repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing
- repairs parts for furniture.
- Repair and/or replace doors, windows, screens and flooring.
- Refinishes/installs sheet rock, plasters, and paints furniture and interior and exterior areas.
- Installs, removes, repairs ceiling, floor, wall tiles and coverings in interior and exterior areas.
- Operates department vehicles as assigned, loads, unloads, transports and delivers supplies, equipment and personnel to assigned areas.
- Assists with sweeping, raking, snow/ice removal, gutter cleaning and replacement, lawn and tree maintenance from outdoor areas.
- Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times
- Tracks when maintenance has been performed in the appropriate ticketing system
- Performs other related duties as requested.
Requirements:
- Fully vaccinated (COVID-19).
- Valid Driver's License and High School Diploma/GED.
- Must be able to attend orientation before starting official shift. This paid training is located at our main office in the Bronx.
- Orientation Dates: March 6th-March 9th 9am-4pm.
- 2 years of experience preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be very thorough with cleaning practices.
- Comfortable driving a 15-passenger van - you will be road tested prior to starting.
- Comfortable with daily use of technology (computer, email, phone, typing etc).
- Effective verbal and written communication.
