Job Description:
Special Olympics is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic intern to join our Leadership and Organizational Development department at our headquarters office in Washington DC. This is a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in data and operations management, working closely with our team to collect, analyze, and interpret historic and predictive data for Special Olympics operations at the HQ, Regional, and Program Level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the collection and analysis of historic and predictive data to support the operations of Special Olympics.
- Work collaboratively with team members to develop and implement data-driven strategies for organizational improvement.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of comprehensive databases and reporting systems.
- Research and gather information from different websites, ensuring accuracy and relevance before adding it to our Excel databases.
- Provide data entry and data management support and assist in the development of a global view of our strategy, contributing to key initiatives and helping to drive our mission forward.
- Support the team in the coordination and execution of various organizational development initiatives.
- Coordinate and schedule calls with different regions and programs to collect information, ensuring effective communication and data gathering across all levels of the organization.
- Engage in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university, eligible for course credit.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative on projects.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups of individuals.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other data analysis tools.

Additional Information:
- This is a for-credit internship.
- Only students eligible for school credit will be considered.
- The intern will be required to work from our headquarters office in Washington DC.
