Responsibilities:

  • Stucco Application: Apply stucco finishes to exterior and interior surfaces of buildings and structures using hand and power tools.
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for stucco application by cleaning, sanding, and applying base coats as needed.
  • Mixing Materials: Mix stucco materials to proper consistency according to specifications, ensuring uniformity and quality of application.
  • Texture Creation: Create various textures and patterns on stucco surfaces using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Repairs and Patching: Perform repairs and patching on damaged or deteriorated stucco surfaces, ensuring seamless integration with existing finishes.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished stucco work to ensure it meets quality standards, including texture consistency, adhesion, and aesthetic appearance.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and team members.
  • Material Management: Manage stucco materials inventory, including ordering, receiving, and organizing supplies as needed.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements, address concerns, and provide recommendations as necessary.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other construction team members, including contractors, builders, and project managers, to coordinate stucco application schedules and ensure timely project completion.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in stucco application and finishing in residential or commercial construction settings.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of stucco materials, application techniques, and industry best practices.
  • Skills: Proficiency in using stucco tools and equipment, including trowels, floats, mixers, and sprayers.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality finishes with precision.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
  • Safety Consciousness: Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and find effective solutions during stucco application and repair processes.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications or licenses (if required by state or local regulations) are advantageous.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet project deadlines as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish System) application.
  • Certification from a recognized stucco training program.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations related to stucco application.
