What are the responsibilities and job description for the Job Estimator position at Specialty Printing, LLC?
This position will be heavily involved with making sure inventory is received and entered correctly as well as scheduling and estimating jobs based on said inventory.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Establish and revise manufacturing steps/processes, equipment requirements, programming requirements, set up operations, material, and labor within ERP system, as well as additional data maintenance items necessary to support other departments.
Essential Functions:
Work includes most of the following:
- Extensive familiarity with ERP systems.
- Updating material specifications within an ERP system in order to accurately estimate jobs.
- Estimate internal production processes based on materials, tools, and job specifications.
- Interact and provide recommendations to sales department on proposals, quotations, and projects.
- Assist in the preparation of work instructions for new and revised existing projects.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision.
- Work with scheduling and provide feedback on determining press lines and routings needed to produce jobs efficiently and economically.
- Calculate costs associated with product and vendor sourcing.
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of material price changes and competitive pricing.
- Constant communication and recommendations with internal teams.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
- High School Degree or equivalent education; degree preferred
- Experience in commercial printing, finishing, and materials coordination preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Positive and professional attitude
- Experience working with computerized ERP systems
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and align operations and sales processes to achieve business results
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, resourcefully with minimal oversight
- Demonstrated experience in developing strong working relationships with internal and external customers
- Strong computer skills (i.e. Excel, Word, Crystal Reports, etc.)

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
