Job Summary
The Subrogation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing billed medical claims for automobile accidents and workers compensation. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely settlement agreement resolutions. This position sits in our Boynton Beach, FL office and works a hybrid schedule.
- Responsible for overseeing all settlement agreements across practices and service lines.
- Review and approve corrections and adjustments on agreements.
- Act as the liaison and serve as a company representative for AHCA meetings and license certifications.
- Oversee Special Agreements when adjustments are made.
- Provide legal verification, when required.
- Collaborate with legal department on complex situations.
- Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine agreements
- Manage the budget for the department and related activities.
- Evaluates departmental procedures to streamline and/or automate processes, improve customer service, and implements changes as required.
- Problem-solve denied claims in a timely manner by contacting insurance adjustors or carrier to obtain information to rebill claims as necessary
- Manage associate performance and development.
- Maintain healthy office environment and supply inventory.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with patients, insurance companies, clinical personnel, and legal offices

Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- One (1) year associated program, preferred.
- Five (5) years of experience in subrogation or related field.
Knowledge & Skill
- Strong understanding of 1500’s, Remittance Advice (RA’s).
- Ability to read and understand EOB’s (Explanation of Benefits).
- Good understanding of debits and credits and the billing process.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Proficient with a computer and good knowledge and understanding of MS office programs, and email.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
