What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optical Technician position at Specs Eyecare Inc?
We are looking for a full/part time technician to join our growing team.
Duties to include but no limited to:
- Assist Optometrist by performing patient work ups, preliminary tests
- Neutralize glasses with auto or manual lensometer.
- Perform visual acuities.
- Perform visual field tests, retinal photos and other testing.
- Work along side Optometrist as scribes.
- Accurately document patient information, history and ocular examination into the EMR system
- Contact lens instruction on the insertion and removal of contact lenses.
- Prepare and close equipment at the beginning and the end of each day.
- Front office duties
- Assist patient with frame and lens selection
Experience preferred but not required. We are willing to train.
