Spectra Tech is an engineering, environmental, and nuclear services company that provides high-quality and cost-effective technical solutions for U.S. Federal agencies, government contractors, and private commercial companies worldwide.
Spectra Tech is in need of an Java Developer II for a position in Aiken, SC.
Duties: The purpose of the position is to provide support to the Business System IT department.
Functions included but not limited to:
Using an Agile development methodology, develop and maintain applications that support the company business departments (i.e., Accounting, Procurement, Human Resources, Projects Controls, etc.)
Develop interfaces between enterprise systems and in-house applications.
Perform initial developer testing and, working with the customers and Business Analyst, resolve issues that arise during user acceptance testing.
Support QA Analyst in developing fully documented test plan.
Required Qualifications:
Experience/Skills:
Demonstrated experience and success in application development, test plan development, testing, production turnover and documentation
Candidate must be a Java developer with at least 3 years' experience using:
o Java
o Servlets and JSPs
o Maven
o Eclipse
o JavaScript
o HTML
o XML
o CSS
o SQL data manipulation
o Secure coding techniques
Experience in the following is preferred but not required
o jQuery
o Tomcat
o Open Source Libraries
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent field with a minimum of 3 years of experience
Associates Degree in computer science or equivalent field with a minimum of 5 years of experience
High School Diploma with minimum of 7 years of experience
Communication:
Must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills. Teamwork skills are important in the highly matrixed project environment.
Work Hours:
A work week will be up to 40 hours based on assigned schedule. Work week excludes SRS holidays. Each workday has a 30-minute lunch.
Area Security Access:
A security clearance is not required.
