iOS App Developer (AR, Audio, and Video Integration)

Location: Remote/Hybrid (Preference for candidates in Orange County/Los Angeles area)

Type: Contract or Part-Time (Potential for Full-Time)

Compensation: $40-80/hr (Negotiable based on experience)

About Us:

We are a tech company pioneering the music merchandising industry focused on merging augmented reality (AR) with innovative audio and video experiences. We are currently embarking on an exciting project to develop an iOS app that leverages AR to interact with real-world objects, creating unique animated experiences through LIDAR technology, and integrating music and video in novel ways.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled iOS App Developer to join our team and spearhead the development of an iOS application from the ground up. This app will allow users to use their iOS device’s camera to interact with their surroundings using AR, with a strong emphasis on music and video manipulation.

• Collaborate with our Augmented Reality team to implement LIDAR scanning technology to create animated objects from real-world scans.
• Develop and integrate features for playing and manipulating audio within the app.
• Overlay pre-recorded videos on AR projections, ensuring seamless interaction with the live camera feed and user-manipulated audio.
• Design and implement a user-friendly interface using SwiftUI and other necessary frameworks.
• Ensure the app performs smoothly and efficiently on all supported iOS devices.
• Debug, test, and refine the app to ensure it meets the highest standards of quality and usability.
• Work closely with other team members, including designers, audio engineers, and project managers, to align the app’s development with our overall vision and goals.

• Proven experience in iOS app development with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI, with a deep understanding of iOS frameworks.
• Experience with ARKit and working knowledge of integrating AR features into mobile applications.
• Familiarity with LIDAR technology and its application in AR development.
• Strong understanding of audio and video processing within iOS applications.
• Experience with multimedia frameworks such as AVFoundation.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience with integrating complex multimedia elements into mobile applications.
• Familiarity with augmented reality design principles and best practices.
• Background in music technology or audio engineering.
• Located in the Orange County/Los Angeles area.
