About Lakeland Hospitals
The health system comprises three hospitals, a regional cancer center, rehabilitation centers, two long-term care residences, home care and hospice services, and 34 affiliate physician practice locations.
We provide both inpatient and outpatient medical services throughout Southwest Michigan.
Scope of work
Patrols hospital buildings and grounds to detect or deter criminal activity and unsafe conditions. Responds to emergency situations, calls for service and other requests for assistance.
Provides supports for safe and efficient parking and transportation services. Maintains highly visible foot and vehicle patrols to detect or deter fire, accidents, violations of hospital policies and criminal acts.
Assists employees, visitors, and patients with directions, lost and found items, vehicle assistance, escorts, and other requests for assistance.
Provides access control for secured areas.
Qualifications
- Required High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred Associate's Degree Public Administration or Criminal Justice
- 2 years of relevant experience related experience Preferred
- Law Enforcement Academy or Military (active duty) experience Preferred
- in an environment of comparable size and complexity Preferred
- At least 21 years of age with valid Michigan driver license. Required
- LIC-Driver's License - STATE MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
- CRT-First Aid - AHA American Heart Association 180 Days required
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 180 Days required Or
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 180 Days required
