Spectrum Software Technology, Inc. Spectrum Software Technology (SST) is currently seeking a Software Developer with strong Java and J2EE experience for our civil aviation programs, working in support of our Traffic Flow team. The position requires a BS and 10 years of experience. Will substitute additional experience for degree.

Hybrid/Remote, must live in the VA/DC/MD area.

Responsibilities:

• Design J2EE software using object-oriented design patterns
• Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions
• Designing and implementing solutions while writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable, and scalable code
• Develop Java/J2EE applications to solve highly complex technical problems
• Conduct root-cause analysis for problems encountered during testing and provide recommendations on resolution
• Develop test harnesses to support software testing
• Provide software support for a real-time air traffic management system
• Debug software problems and provide solutions
• Development of software requirements
• Documents verification and validation of solution sets and protocols
• Improves operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures
• Ensures software standards are met

Extensive experience using Java /J2EE applications

• Experience using C/C
• Vast knowledge of the software life cycle
• Experience with Ansible and or containerization/virtualization a plus
• Strong Linux knowledge/experience helpful
• Strong knowledge of user interfaces
• Extensive knowledge of SQL, XML and experience with databases
• Demonstrate strength in solving complex problems
• BS with 10 years of experience, will substitute additional experiene for Degree
• Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident
