THE OPPORTUNITY AT HAND
We’re looking for passionate and empathetic people to join our team as Ophthalmic Scribes. Our Scribes are responsible for documenting all the exam elements of the patient visit. This includes gathering and documenting patient information and history and conducting routine and ancillary patient testing. You’ll play a vital role in the patient’s experience with OCLI and in helping our doctors to diagnose and treat eye disorders.
OUR EXPECTATIONS OF YOU
You’ll prepare the patient chart/EMR and room for exam based on the physician requirements and preferences.
You’ll document the patient’s chart/EMR with patient history, testing, diagnoses, treatment plans, procedures, prescriptions, follow-ups, and any consultations/referrals to other practitioners.
You’ll educate the patient regarding testing, procedures, prescription instructions, etc.
You’ll serve as a work-up technician and perform accurate ophthalmic procedures and testing (auto-refraction; visual acuity; measure and record glasses; tonometry; pupils; dilate; HRT; VF; pachymeter; corneal topography; OCT; B-scan; keratometry; confrontation fields; administering eye drops or ointments).
