Summary/Objective
This position helps manage the flow of the restaurant, greets guests upon arrival, welcomes them into the establishment and seats them.
Qualifications:
1. Must speak Fluent English.
2. Must have a valid Driver’s License and a mode of transportation.
3. Must be 21 years of age or older.
4. Must have at least 1 (one) year of experience in the Food and Beverage or Hospitality industry.
5. Must have a High School Diploma.
6. Must be available to work at least 20 hours a week.
7. Cannot have a Felony or Misdemeanor on record.
8. Must have two valid forms of identification that qualifies employee to work in the United States.
9. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Essential Functions
• Greets and seats guests, presents menus to guests, informs them of daily specials including “special catch" and soups.
• Treats all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strives to exceed guests' expectations.
• Always displays a pleasant disposition.
• Ensure the needs of waiting guests are met.
• Provide guests with sincere advice and offer obliging recommendations.
• Observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied tables.
• Takes guest information, and quotes wait times accurately when tables are not immediately available.
• Cleans, organizes, and stocks menus at host area.
• Answers phone and any questions concerning the menu and restaurant.
• Interacts with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant, to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Fills to-go orders, if applicable.
• Maintains restrooms throughout shift.
• Sweeps foyer and front entrance area frequently.
• Performs other duties as directed.

Required Education and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 years of hosting or hospitality experience in upscale environment

Work Environment
A restaurant and bar environment. The workstation may be drafty due to its location by the door, and the work environment noise level can be loud. Hazards may include, but are not limited to, slipping and tripping.
Physical Demands
Estimated percentage of daily physical requirements and/or number of pounds that may need to be lifted on the job:
• Stands during entire shift.
• Reaches, bends and stoops frequently.
• Carries highchair about times per shift over medium distances.
• Verbally communicates with guests and phone callers.
• Must be able to read, write and determine wait time based on Company procedures.
• Must be able to visually scan restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables.
• This position requires frequent washing of hands.
