Spee-Dee Delivery is looking for a self-motivated and organized individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. As a Night Driver you would transport freight between branch locations and sort packages in a safe and timely manner.
Hours and Wages:
-
Monday- Friday, 5:00PM- completion
- 10-15 hours of overtime expected each week

Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week

Starting wage: $19.00-20.50 per hour, plus shift differential
Duties and Responsibilities:
-
Delivers and picks up freight to transfer between branch locations

Makes pick-ups at after hour shippers

Loads and unloads freight by hand carefully from fleet vehicles to avoid damage

Scans inbound freight for tracking purposes

Sorts freight by zip code, city, or state

Complies with all company safety policies and DOT policies

Notifies management of any problems or discrepancies

Inspects and reports any mechanical problems with the vehicle

Maintains professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle

Assists other drivers and operations personnel with duties, as needed
Experience and Qualifications:
-
At least 21 years of age and hold a valid Driver's License

A good driving record which meets company standards

Ability to operate a manual transmission, or have the willingness to learn

Ability to pass a DOT physical exam

Ability to bend, lift, twist, climb stairs, while moving freight on and off company vehicle

Ability to lift and move freight weighing up to 100 pounds
- Ability to work with all types of freight which include, but are not limited to: hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals

Possess good customer service and can work independently
