Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) will work in a school for the 2023/2024 school year, to provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services for children with speech, language, and communication disorders. The SLP will collaborate with parents, educators, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that foster the development of communication skills and promote overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in young children.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on each child's specific needs, goals, and strengths.
Implement evidence-based intervention techniques to address speech, language, and communication disorders.
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to each child's development.
Monitor and document each child's progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
Provide parent education and support to encourage at-home practice of speech and language strategies.
Attend multidisciplinary team meetings to review and discuss child progress and interventions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including assessment results, treatment plans, progress reports, and other relevant documentation.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in the field of speech and language pathology.
Adhere to all relevant ethical guidelines, legal regulations, and professional standards in the provision of speech and language therapy services.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
State licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (or eligibility for licensure).
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or equivalent.
Experience working with young children with speech, language, and communication disorders.
Knowledge of evidence-based assessment and intervention techniques for pediatric populations.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with children, families, and staff.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Working Conditions:
This full-time position typically requires 35-37.5 hours per week, with some flexibility in scheduling.
