Summary:
Manages multiple human resources functions to an assigned division; oversees the administration of department related programs and proposes changes in order to improve effectiveness; guides and supports all other organizational entities within the Company with matters pertaining to departmental administration and any cross-functional administration with these organizations
Responsibilities :
- Manages, hires, trains, evaluates and motivates the Human Resources team
- Advises, coordinates and assists Vice President, Human Resources and Training; Human Resources Services; Operations Managers; and corporate executive managers in matters dealing with the related functions
- Supervises Human Resources Representatives and Coordinators; provides advice and guidance related to the recruiting processes and human resources functions
- Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all Company personnel; ensures consistent application of the Company Compensation Manual
- Develops, recommends and implements human resources policies, procedures, manuals and programs to establish and maintain a stable work force within the assigned division
- Provides human resources guidance/information to employees based on published operating policies, procedures and customary practices
- Collaborates with internal partners regarding human resources issues; seeks recommendations from the Law Organization to ensure that Company policies and procedures are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Keeps abreast of multiple areas of employment labor legislation, including, but not limited to, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA); Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA); American with Disabilities Act (ADA); Equal Pay Act; affirmative action; wage and hour laws; unemployment; and workers’ compensation
- Ensures compliance with applicable Federal, State and local rules and regulations related to employment
- Develops departmental budget, establishes direction and sets priorities for spending, based upon Company guidelines and strategy. Manages spending accordingly
- Completes other duties, including special projects, as assigned by Management
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or equivalent education and experience
Experience Requirements:
- 10 years of related experience
Skill Requirements:
- Demonstrated expertise with Word, Excel, and other MS Office suite applications
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to research and resolve issues
- Outstanding leadership and management skills
- Good understanding of intra-department functions and operations
- Excellent time management skills; ability to multi-task and track multiple projects concurrently
- Ability to work with people having diverse requirements
- Ability to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
