Responsibilities
You will be instrumental in creating intricate styles within CLO, providing mentorship and support to design and tech design users who are mastering the tool. Your role will bridge the gap between the technical and creative aspects of the CLO 3D Design tool.
- Oversee the complete design process for apparel and accessories in CLO
- Develop and establish a team structure; integrate the digital design process into the existing product development and production workflow
- Collaborate and influence cross-functional partners to meet 3D needs throughout product development and key lifecycle milestones
- Troubleshoot for designers and tech designers who are learning CLO, acting as a trainer to help them transition between design programs like Illustrator and CLO
- Minimize physical sampling through the use of CLO software
- Make necessary pattern adjustments within CLO as well as apply textures, prints, top stitches and trims
- Share CLO files and patterns with factories
- Facilitate the growth of the block library of pre-sewn garments in standard silhouettes
- Manage the virtual fabric library for use in the 3D sampling process
Qualifications
- Over 5 years of experience using CLO in the fashion industry, with extensive knowledge of pattern making
- Prior experience in establishing a CLO Design team is a plus
- Highly proficient with technology and able to quickly learn new software
- Creative, curious, and driven
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Adaptable, with a demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and meet tight deadlines
