Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to architectural design.
Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate independent work requiring judgment, initiative, and experience in the application and adaptation of architectural techniques.
Coordinate technical issues with other disciplines, customer organizations, or projects.
Expertise and guidance in architectural design, and the resolution of architectural technical, code, regulatory, and safety issues.
Manage special tasks and provide leadership, training, and consultation to co-workers.
Conduct construction document reviews as required.
Assist in the preparation of task estimates; perform studies and prepare analysis as required.
Interface with other design/construction disciplines, customers, as necessary.
Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications is required.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Architecture with a combined 5 years’ professional architectural experience (nuclear preferred) in relevant design/field experience required.
Registered Architect with current state registration. National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) preferred.
