What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer/Purchasing position at Spherion Staffing?
Spherion Staffing is looking for an entry level buyer in Punta Gorda, FL. This is a full time temp to hire position starting off around $16-17 an hour. The basic functions of the Buyer are: the effective administration of supplies and materials, requisitions, placement of purchase orders for assigned commodities, supplies or services, and for conduct of supplier relations resulting in successful support.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Buyer reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The principle duties of the Buyer shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:
Ensure routine assigned purchases are completed timely.
Develop and maintain excellent supplier relations
Work as a team member with Production Planning, Engineering, Quality Control, and Finance to
ensure supplier service and delivery through effective communication and negotiations
Research and implement opportunities to reduce product costs and inventory investments
Other special duties as the Supply Chain Manager may assign.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per year
