Apply today to join the CNC Machinist Team at one of Mankato's premier manufacturers! CNC Machinist team members operate lathes, milling machines, and grinders, including setting up and making adjustments, to design fixtures, tooling, or experimental parts. These are DIRECT HIRE roles.
Hours
Mon-Friday 2:00PM-10:00PM
Sunday-Thursday 10:00PM-6:00AM
Responsibilities
Machine parts to specifications, preforming precision machining operations
Use of machine tools, including but not limited to lathes, milling machines, or grinders
Set up, adjust, and operate basic or specialized machine tools
Design fixtures, tooling, or experimental parts
Use of complex technical tools, CAD and CAM
Use hand tools as required
Follow specific process and procedures as directed
Assure work practices are within the guidelines of OSHA standards.
Follow all safety standards as outlined by policy and procedures
Data Entry
Working hours: Various Shifts Available
Skills
Knowledge of mechanics
Extensive experience in CNC Machining
Understanding of iron foundry process
Understanding of a manufacturing facility
Education
High School
Experience
1-4 years
Qualifications
Experience using complex tools, CAD and CAM
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Degree or Certification in CNC Machining, Right Skills Now for Manufacturing Course, or equivalent work experience
Experience in Lean Manufacturing
Ability to machine part to specifications
Knowledge and use of gauges, micrometers, Vernier calipers, and charts to measure tolerance
Ability to accurately and effectively use computer programs for data entry and reporting
Ability to learn how to use machinery/equipment as needed
Mechanically inclined
Must have a strong attendance record
Must have shown ability to work unsupervised
Detail and process oriented and organized
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, background check and drug screen
