Spherion is in search of skilled Material Handler/Forklift Operators to support operations at our Client's distribution center in Duluth, MN. As a Material HandlerForklift Operator, you'll play a crucial role in safely loading trucks and unloading railcars. This is a temp to hire position.
Work Hours-Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm

Responsibilities
- Operate forklift in strict adherence to training and safety protocols.
- Efficiently load, unload, and store building materials from trailers or rail cars with a focus on minimizing damage.
- Handle material retrieval, including piece pick and/or bulk tasks.
- Prepare necessary paperwork for product distribution and shipping.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform maintenance as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in designated work areas.
- Support periodic inventory counts as required.
- Proficient and safe operation of forklift for product transportation and truck loading/unloading.
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions accurately.
- Capability to work independently and effectively, especially under pressure.
- Capacity to lift up to 75 lbs safely.
- Aptitude for reading and understanding sales orders, purchase orders, and safety materials.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and basic math proficiency.
- Demonstrated safe work history and consistent employment record.
- Minimum one year of forklift driving experience with proof of certification.
