What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Quality Engineer position at Spherion?
Responsibilities –
Provide full verification of all products in relation to the First Article Inspection (FAI) process, reviewing and signing off approval of FAI generated reports.
Represent the Quality function by participating in Materials Review Board (MRB) meetings and provide active support to corrective action outputs and initiatives.
Support improvement activities within the Operations department while ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
Produce presentation materials and reports to agreed departmental standards utilizing robust business performance data.
Ensure all data capture, files and documents are written, named and maintained in accordance with the company Quality Management System.
Ensure all materials received to support manufacture complete in full to the standard inspection procedure raising any material nonconformities as required. This includes all material quarantine administration.
Ensure all freezer data is downloaded and recorded, and any required material storage life deductions are actioned. Lead the scheduling of the freezer and production equipment calibration in line with calibration procedure.
Provide Quality support to the resolution of any cutting machine maintenance scheduling and emergency engineer call out as necessary.
Cleanroom monitoring including daily monitoring activities (particle count, humidity, temperature etc), and support the operation in the resolution of identified issues or risk.
Participate in the Internal Audit Program as directed.
Participate in all external Audit requirements as required.
Liaising with the Quality Assurance team with regards to all quality issues including investigations, reports and presentations.
This is a second shift position, 2:30pm - 11:15pm.
Required Skills –
Experience working in a Quality role in a multi-site manufacturing business.
Experience working in an aerospace or automotive manufacturing business.
Demonstrated ability to adhere to the company’s current aerospace standards in relation to First Article Inspection (FAI) procedures and experience with Six Sigma and Materials Review Board (MRB) principles.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to comfortably work to predetermined standards are essential.
Excellent communication skills essential.
