Spherion is hiring a Sling Fabricator/Driver in Indianapolis, IN.
This is a Direct Hire Opportunity, meaning you will work for our client from day one!
Shift & Pay:
- Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 4:30PM - $17 - $19/HR Depending on Experience
Job Purpose:
Fabricate and refurbish wire rope slings, chain slings and other lifting assemblies. Prepare and deliver orders to customers as well as pick up items.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and repair wire rope, chain slings and assemblies.
- Inspection of slings in-house and off-site
- Coordinate deliveries and pick-ups with Shop Foreman. Make deliveries.
- Assist in shipping and receiving functions.
- Perform other functions as required.
Skills:
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform industrial calculations
- Operate hand tools and forklifts
- Filing orders, Shipping & Receiving
Qualifications:
- Satisfactory driving record
- HS Diploma or GED
