The Spice House is looking for a full-time Retail Keyholder who has demonstrated an excellent work ethic, a willingness to go the extra mile, and an eagerness to grow in leadership responsibility at the company.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service in a specialty food retail environment using strong problem solving skills for both internal and external challenges
- Oversee opening and closing store procedures as well as daily operations alongside management
- Warmly welcome customers and assist them throughout their store visit
- Build rapport through conversation and honest recommendations about our spice products based around the customers preferences, needs and desires
- Complete customer orders through our POS and Web pickup system.
- Assist with inventory management through our product management system
- Training and coaching (non-disciplinary) front line employees under the direction of senior management
- Collaborate with fellow team members to keep the sales floor area and displays clean, organized, and restocked as directed by management
- Assist in maintaining the back stock room and setting up merchandise displays on the sales floor
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years retail experience and/or relatable experience; keyholder, team lead or supervisory experience preferred
- Proficient in computer skills and related technologies
- Friendly, outgoing demeanor with a strong commitment to customer service - You genuinely like to connect with people!
- Ability to express oneself clearly and persuasively when connecting with customers and making sales
- Calm, professional and able to problem solve
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds, walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Must be willing to work weekends
- Passion for food and flavor is a must!
