Full Job Description
Specific Duties
- Follow a daily production schedule from the production supervisor.
- Execute mixing and batching production orders accurately using machinery for manufacturing.
- Ensure specific ingredient quantities are used and product quality is maintained.
- Thoroughly inspect the mixer for general cleanliness, damage, or maintenance repairs.
- Accurately read codes, batch numbers, unit weight, and number of units and check labels for correctness.
- Load and unload bagged ingredients.
- Examine all ingredients before mixing to check for foreign debris and check the finished product for consistency. Notify the supervisor of any inconsistencies and foreign debris found in products.
- Responsible for reporting and taking necessary action to prevent food safety and quality problems from occurring.
- Assist in pulling raw materials from racking locations using forklift equipment
- Keep accurate detailed records of daily production to give to the supervisor
- Assist in other areas of the plant as needed.
Requirements
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts
- Ability to load around 10,000 lbs daily
- Must be tolerant of hot pepper and spices
- Must be able to stand and walk for 8 hours a day; lift an average of 50 lbs; pull and push continuously; reach above shoulder level; and work with ingredients that may contain common allergens.
