What you’ll do:
The Physician & Community Relations Liaison is the conduit between Orthopedic and Neurosurgery Specialists (ONS) and our referring physician offices, hospital partners & the local communities that we serve. They’re responsible for business development and relationship management activities within a defined territory.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with targeted community stakeholders, business leaders, corporate & community organizations, and referring providers.
- Enhance lines of communication between referring providers and ONS orthopedic offices.
- Works in tandem with Marketing and Operational Leadership to drive targeted volume growth, improve the physician alignment, and cultivate referral relationships.
- Regularly visits referring providers throughout Fairfield & Westchester County to increase alignment.
- Develop provider-to-provider outreach meetings to facilitate relationship development and promote physician expertise with local/regional referring providers.
- Gain in-depth understanding of local and regional markets served and advise on organizational drivers and market dynamics.
- Generate opportunities for collaboration, increasing market share, referral network enhancement, and improved provider awareness.
- Executes educational community events to build brand awareness and establish relationships with our community and corporate partners.
- Ability to establish rapport with event attendees and discuss ONS capabilities.
- Plans and executes community/corporate events across Fairfield and Westchester County.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new events in the community.
- Manages operational aspects of events logistics and communicates to internal teams (marketing, participating staff and supervisors).
- Partners with internal stakeholders including physicians and physical therapy to execute the business' strategy for their respective events.
- Works cross-functionally with ONS PT related to advanced motion analysis and demonstrations at events.
- Manages, researches, negotiates, and coordinates all event logistics including provider and employee participation.
- Processes invoices and manages the events budget.
- Availability during events, occasional morning, evening, and weekend work with travel to event sites.
- Manage marketing/social media promotion of events with Marketing department.
- Serve as internal resource to ONS staff, providers, administration, and marketing.
- Organize and share market intelligence about referring providers and the communities we serve.
- Facilitate and encourage discussions with the goal of continuous improvement.
- Gain in depth knowledge of ONS/Spire Practice specialty, sub-specialty, and tertiary capabilities.
- Participate in training and learning opportunities as required.
- Maintains database reporting, event preparation, and administrative duties.
- Consistent utilization of CRM for reporting
- Track new business opportunities, strategies and objectives for stakeholder communications and reporting.
- Track performance to Quarterly plans, including priority targets and benefitting provider.
Integrate referring provider data and field intelligence into sales plan to build business.
Qualifications
Who you are:
- 2-4 years of healthcare sales or related experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative and critical thinking skills to support problem solving and the ability to navigate complicated situations that may arise.
- Detail oriented with ability to organize and plan work with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to accommodate client schedules when outside of standard business hours.
- Possession of a CT state driver’s license
- Local travel in Fairfield and Westchester County
- Exercises independent judgment and proposes solutions when challenges arise.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Superior oral, written and non-verbal communication skills; ability to forge and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Preferred qualifications:
- PRM experience
- Health care or clinical practice experience a plus.
