Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
- Leads advanced manufacturing projects from concept to transition to operation through the stage gate process.
- Ability to present to middle, senior and executive leaders on the progress of the project, cost, benefit, schedule, risk impacts.
- Conceives innovative manufacturing processes and advanced technologies for new aerostructures.
- Defines and performs projects to mature concepts, technologies and processes.
- Understands full life cycle requirements for product and process development.
- Defines future factory/ smart factory vision, concepts and options.
- Defines engineering requirements and compliance approaches up front for design for manufacturing and/or automation.
- Assists with trade studies for design and/or process alternatives.
- Capable of defining necessary resources and development plans.
- Works in concert with key functions to align and advance project plans.
- Progresses concept through initial configuration, prototyping, risk reduction and mature technology readiness.
- Documents and communicates plans and evaluations for future work packages, i.e. bid and proposal.
Qualifications
Requirement:

- Experience building interpersonal professional relationships
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- 9 years’ related experience plus a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited Engineering program or 7 years’ related experience with a Master’s degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited Engineering program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years’ experience in project management, developing and sustaining large complex projects
- Experience utilizing various Microsoft Office Suite applications, such as Office 365 and Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word, Teams and Visio
- Experience in the following areas: Customer Interface, Change Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Risk Management, Affordability Management, Product Configuration Management, Development and/or sustaining programs, Earned Value Management, Developing Proposals and Estimating, Integrated Program Planning and Scheduling, Cross-functional project management
- Experience with Continuous Improvement/ Lean/ Industry 4.0/ World Class Manufacturing
- Prior experience presenting detailed reports to Senior Leaders and/or Executives
- Knowledge of engineering, manufacturing and supply chain
- Knowledge of operational processes and procedures
- Knowledge of financial processes and procedures
- Team player, very detailed oriented
