What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN/MA position at Spirit Medical?

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse/Medical Assistant to join our single provider primary care team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality and compassionate patient care.

Duties:

  • Conduct patient assessments and provide direct patient care
  • Prepares patients for examination including the identification of the chief complaint, the taking of vital signs, height, weight, and ensures smooth patient flow throughout the clinic
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Assist with patient triage and emergency procedures
  • Utilize anatomy knowledge for accurate patient care
  • Maintains patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • If necessary, can perform routine laboratory procedures, collects specimens, and prepares them for laboratory pick-up
  • Adhere to common safety hazards and precautions to assist in establishing/maintaining a safe work environment
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Monitor and execute action for incoming and outgoing referrals

Skills:

  • Proficient in medication administration
  • Minimum two (2) years EHR, insurance verification
  • Ability to manage acute pain effectively
  • Knowledge of ICD-9 coding for accurate documentation
  • Skilled in providing compassionate patient care
  • Familiarity with prior auth and prescription refill processes
