Spirit of America seeks an exceptional, mission-driven individual with international affairs experience (academic or in the field) to serve as an intern in support ongoing projects. The intern will be responsible for providing administrative project support, coordinating crucial activities, and ensuring key tasks are scheduled, prioritized, and completed. This is a paid internship based in Arlington, VA, both full and part-time interns are welcome to apply. We are looking for individuals who will enjoy working with and learning from a high-performing team that is making groundbreaking contributions to freedom, democracy, and America’s security. The successful candidate will possess a deep interest and passion for our mission, a results-oriented work ethic, a willingness to learn and try new things and fail, and a wicked sense of humor. A minimum 3-month commitment is required; extensions are possible.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with team members in support of ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Contributing to overall Spirit of America research efforts. Provide research and planning support to special projects and strategic initiatives.
- Providing administrative support for SoA staff including CEO. Draft proposals and presentations.
- Prepared staff for engagements; determine priorities, prepare briefing materials, follow up with impacted parties, and ensure actionable items are addressed.
- Support activities including processing procurements, planning events, communicating with vendors, maintaining administrative records, and coordinating travel.
- Help manage multimedia content and provide input into messaging and social media efforts.
- Conduct regional research with a focus on drivers of instability, demographics, religious extremism, and geopolitical disputes.
- Other tasks as required to serve Spirit of America’s mission.
