Aerial Lineman

Are you looking for work in the Telecommunications industry? If so, come join the Splash Fiber team as an Aerial Lineman. Experience is preferred, but not necessary, as we are willing to train the right candidate.

Aerial Lineman are responsible for installing telecommunication lines in the right of way (R.O.W.), and within private easements. Areial Lineman also repairs fiber optic cable & coaxial cable lines, both aerially and in underground duct systems.

Please note, you must be a resident of Colorado and live within a 2-hour radius of the Denver Metro area to be considered for this position.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Read and interpret engineering plans

· Understand & follow separation and clearance regulations

· Keep detailed record of work activity

· Safely operate a bucket truck

· Work with wood pole fall-arrest equipment

· Utilize standard telecommunications tools

· Operate chain hoists & specialty equipment

· Work with equipment used to install grounding rods and anchors

· New build, coax & fiber installation and pole transfers

· Maintain proper inventory on vehicle based on work assignment

· Operate vehicle, following all safety and traffic regulations

· Keep work areas clean and organized

· All other duties assigned by supervisor/foreman

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Experience with GIS (3GIS or Vetro systems) preferred

· Experience with creating preliminary designs during the project building process preferred

· Ability to safely operate a Bucket Truck preferred

· Experience with climbing ladders preferred

· Ability to use standardized telecommunication tools preferred

· Operate Company vehicles following all safety and traffic regulations

Physical Requirements:

· Must be comfortable with heights & elevated platforms (must be able to work at heights of 20 ’ feet)

· Climbing poles with gaffs

· Assist with loading of various materials onto trucks and/or trailers

· Climbing poles and ladders

· Must be able to lift, reach, dig and carry heavy objects with frequent lifting up to 50 pounds and infrequent lifting of up to 100 pounds (assistance provided)

· Must be able to perform heavy physical work and perform duties in a safe and efficient manner

Other Requirements:

· Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

· Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets Company requirements

This full time position will require travel 80% to 90% of the time. Per diem is paid to all employees traveling for work.
